Book bags for Children in Foster Care - Updated
With nearly 500 children in foster care in Wake County, the Outreach Team is inviting you to provide sturdy book bags for these children as they head back to their traditional year in school. The sizes should include smaller ones for children in elementary school as well as regular-sized book bags for middle and high schoolers.
The outpouring of school supplies has been very generous, and moving forward, we are hoping to receive more book bags. If you have already purchased school supplies, we appreciate those donations as well.
Drop off. You can drop off the donations in the Narthex on Sunday, July 25 when you attend worship, or bring them to the FMB on Sunday, August 1 from 9 am - 11 am. Thank you for supporting children in foster care.
SUNDAY, JUNE 6: Coffee and Clean up Buckets!! You are invited to remain after worship on Sunday, June 6 for Coffee and Clean up Buckets. The Outreach team has procured the items needed to make 30 Clean Up Buckets for Church World Service. Your help is needed to put the items together in 5 gallon buckets. These buckets are given to families and individuals impacted by flood, hurricanes, and similar disasters. The buckets we create will be stored for use in North Carolina.
Coffee, Juice and light breakfast fare will be provided. Plan to help create these important emergency relief kits and enjoy some refreshment and fellowship too!!

The NRPC Sacred Arts Committee is inviting you to participate in an art project for Pentecost! We will be making white plastic doves out of recycled milk jugs, which we plan to mount as a portable mobile to use as a part of the Pentecost Worship Service on Sunday, May 23. All you will need is a clean plastic milk or orange juice jug, the descending dove template which you can print out and trace, a sharpie, and a pair of scissors. If you do not have/use plastic jugs, we will have a number of them that you can pick up outside the FMB starting this Sunday. We ask that all doves be dropped off in a box outside the FMB no later than May 16 so that the doves can be ribboned and hung on the mobile in time for the May 23 service.
Here are some photos to guide you!
